Stuart McMillan
Stuart McMillan is the co-founder and CEO of ALTIS, the world’s leading education and training organization in high-performance sport. Over more than three decades, he has coached athletes at 12 Olympic Games and dozens of World Championships, working with more than 70 Olympians and contributing to over40 Olympic medals.
Beyond coaching, McMillan has built a parallel body of work in coach education, writing, and applied sport science. He is the co-founder of ALTIS Higher Education, which delivers the world’s first privately run MSc in Strength, Conditioning, and Coaching Practice. He has authored book chapters, contributed to peer-reviewed academic publications, and regularly consults with professional sport teams, military organizations, and performance institutes around the world.
His work focuses on complexity, systems thinking, and how human performance emerges from interacting biological, psychological, and environmental constraints.
